A Unified Model for Compressed Sensing MRI Across Undersampling Patterns

Compressed Sensing MRI reconstructs images of the body's internal anatomy from undersampled measurements, thereby reducing scan time. Recently, deep learning has shown great potential for reconstructing high-fidelity images from highly undersampled measurements. However, one needs to train multiple models for different undersampling patterns and desired output image resolutions, since most networks operate on a fixed discretization. Such approaches are highly impractical in clinical settings, where undersampling patterns and image resolutions are frequently changed to accommodate different real-time imaging and diagnostic requirements. We propose a unified MRI reconstruction model robust to various measurement undersampling patterns and image resolutions. Our approach uses neural operators, a discretization-agnostic architecture applied in both image and measurement spaces, to capture local and global features. Empirically, our model improves SSIM by 11% and PSNR by 4 dB over a state-of-the-art CNN (End-to-End VarNet), with 600times faster inference than diffusion methods. The resolution-agnostic design also enables zero-shot super-resolution and extended field-of-view reconstruction, offering a versatile and efficient solution for clinical MR imaging. Our unified model offers a versatile solution for MRI, adapting seamlessly to various measurement undersampling and imaging resolutions, making it highly effective for flexible and reliable clinical imaging. Intrinsic Neural Fields: Learning Functions on Manifolds

Neural fields have gained significant attention in the computer vision community due to their excellent performance in novel view synthesis, geometry reconstruction, and generative modeling. Some of their advantages are a sound theoretic foundation and an easy implementation in current deep learning frameworks. While neural fields have been applied to signals on manifolds, e.g., for texture reconstruction, their representation has been limited to extrinsically embedding the shape into Euclidean space. The extrinsic embedding ignores known intrinsic manifold properties and is inflexible wrt. transfer of the learned function. To overcome these limitations, this work introduces intrinsic neural fields, a novel and versatile representation for neural fields on manifolds. Intrinsic neural fields combine the advantages of neural fields with the spectral properties of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. We show theoretically that intrinsic neural fields inherit many desirable properties of the extrinsic neural field framework but exhibit additional intrinsic qualities, like isometry invariance. In experiments, we show intrinsic neural fields can reconstruct high-fidelity textures from images with state-of-the-art quality and are robust to the discretization of the underlying manifold. We demonstrate the versatility of intrinsic neural fields by tackling various applications: texture transfer between deformed shapes & different shapes, texture reconstruction from real-world images with view dependence, and discretization-agnostic learning on meshes and point clouds.

Matérn Noise for Triangulation-Agnostic Flow Matching on Meshes

This paper tackles the task of learning to generate signals over triangle meshes in a triangulation-agnostic manner, meaning the trained model can be applied to different meshes and triangulations effectively. Practically, the paper adapts the flow matching (FM) paradigm to a mesh-based, triangulation-agnostic setting. Theoretically, it proposes a specific noise distribution which is triangulation agnostic, to be used inside the FM model's denoising process. While noise distributions are usually trivial to devise for, e.g., images, devising a triangulation-agnostic distribution proves to be a much more difficult task. We formulate a mathematical definition of triangulation agnosticism of distributions, via their spectrum. We then show that a discretization of a specific Gaussian random field called a Matérn process holds these desired properties, and provides a simple and efficient sampling algorithm. We use it as our noise model, and adapt FM to the triangulation-agnostic setting by using a state-of-the-art approach for learning signals on meshes in the gradient domain -- PoissonNet -- as the denoiser. We conduct experiments on elaborate tasks such as sampling elastic rest states, and generating poses of humanoids. Our method is shown to be capable of producing highly realistic results for meshes of over one million triangles, significantly exceeding the state-of-the-art in quality and diversity.

When, Where, and How: Adaptive Binning for Tabular Self-Supervised Learning

Medical tabular data are ubiquitous in clinical research, but deep learning for tables remains underexplored because reliable labels often require costly expert adjudication, even though structured clinical variables are routinely available in tabular form. Self-supervised learning can leverage these unlabeled tables, and recent binning-based pretexts offer a promising inductive bias, but existing objectives fix a single global quantile discretization and apply feature-agnostic supervision. We propose Adaptive Binning, a training-adaptive discretization pretext for tabular SSL that couples discretization to learning through a feature-wise coarse-to-fine curriculum. Motivated by the spectral bias of neural networks and the principles of curriculum learning, our method progressively refines discretization per feature upon plateau detection and selects representation-aware splits to jointly improve value-space concentration and representation-space coherence. A heterogeneity-aware objective unifies categorical reconstruction with ordinal supervision for numerical features, and experiments on public medical tabular datasets under unified evaluation protocols show consistent gains for linear probing and fine-tuning without dataset-specific discretization tuning. We further introduce a medical tabular SSL benchmark with standardized protocols to support reproducible progress in this underexplored domain. Our code is available at https://github.com/labhai/Adaptive-Binning.
